We have been using DataCar B.I for 1 year. Before DataCar B.I, we used to have dashboards from DataCar DMS with margin rates, sales volume rates…but it was not like the tool we have now! !

According to Mr MENNETIER :
For New and Used Car activity:
- Total turnover compared to the previous month and the previous year
- Total margin generated
- NC sales volume

For shop activity, Antoine Mennetrier essentially keeps track of turnover: « because margin rates are more or less unchanging.»
He says: «For workshop activity, we follow the same indicators as shop activity and also the team productivity with specifics ratios.. »

Advantage: Daily visibility on all site performances
Antoine MENNETRIER :
« My managers use DataCar B.I on a daily basis. I have a weekly feedback on different KPIs we decided to follow. Every Monday, one of my site managers sends me 5/6 main indicators per activity that allow me to follow performances for the 3 sites. I need to have indicators that reflect the level of activity of each site and as a whole. »
He also says: « Thanks to a totally customized report, I have all the information I need to drive our business. Sending automatic reports by email is very useful, it avoids connecting to DataCar B.I. I think it’s also very useful for my team managers who automatically receive specific points to follow up on a regular basis. »

Advantage: Visual and direct visibility of results
Patrick Lafite highlights an interesting visual performance visibility in DataCar B.I: « The coloured indicators in the Eye Glance are very interesting, they provide warnings and as such I know, at any given time and in a very visual manner, how the business is doing».
He also refers to the rapid and direct visibility: « The access to information is more direct than before. For example, before we were forced to make 2 extractions to compare 2 years. With DataCar BI, we can see how the business is doing immediately thanks to the reports and we can make comparisons with the previous year or month by month. »
Advantage: An efficient tool to control defined targets
Antoine Mennetrier explains: «« To drive our group’s dealerships, the dashboards provided by DataCar B.I allow us to measure actual business compared to defined goals. For example, we can check whether the total margin is consistent with the target and see which points need to be corrected if we are not in line with those set. In this sense, it is a real tool for helping with decision-making and action plans.»
Concerning business management, Mr Mennetrier points out: «for management and measuring economic performance purposes, we don’t use any other analysis tools for dealership activity, except for analysing our operating account.»
Accoring to Patrick Lafite : « 90% of my indicators come from DataCar B.I. This tool gives me immediate results concerning action plans implemented due to shop stock rotation or NC activity issues. »
Advantage : A positive impact on team management
According to Antoine Mennetrier : « With DataCar B.I, some managers who were used to taking a rather empirical approach to things, have changed their management methods. This is due to the easy access to information and the possibility to push information directly to the right people.
DataCar B.I forces us to take a closer look at figures and see results from a more factual and scientific point of view. So yes, DataCar B.I has had a positive impact on management! »
According to Patrick Lafite : « Before, the reports that Managers were required to send to manufacturers took them too much time. Data was extracted from DataCar DMS and consolidated in Excel tables.
Today with DataCar B.I, a huge amount of time is saved because they don’t need to make extractions, the B.I gives them the informaiton they need, immediately.»
« Saving time in this way makes working in collaboration with managers, much more efficient. »
Antoine Mennetrier is very satisfied with DataCar B.I and the KPIs. According to him: « it is not necessary to have thousands, we need to analyse sustainable and reliable indicators. »
